This one needs an upload, and is deleted afterwards
Browsers cannot do this calculation, so the file goes to our server. It is deleted automatically 60 minutes after the job finishes, and the working copy lives in a memory filesystem that is wiped whenever the server restarts.
We do not log file names and do not log file contents — that is a hard rule in our engineering standards, not a setting.
What it does — and what it doesn't
Content becomes text boxes. You can edit the words and move things, but the original layout, masters and styles are not there.
There are no animations or transitions — the source did not have any.
A scanned PDF converts to images.
If you need to rework the deck, finding the original .pptx is far quicker.
Common questions
When is this actually useful?
You were sent a PDF of a deck and want to lift a couple of slides into your own file. That works well.
Can I convert only some pages?
Split those pages off first.
Would images not be simpler?
If you only need to look at them, yes — use PDF to image. This is for when you need to edit the words.
