This one needs an upload, and is deleted afterwards
Browsers cannot do this calculation, so the file goes to our server. It is deleted automatically 60 minutes after the job finishes, and the working copy lives in a memory filesystem that is wiped whenever the server restarts.
We do not log file names and do not log file contents — that is a hard rule in our engineering standards, not a setting.
What it does — and what it doesn't
DWG is not supported. It is a proprietary format; the only open reader carries a licence incompatible with this product, and the commercial alternative is a paid SDK. Renaming the file does not help — the header is checked, and you are told to re-save as DXF in your CAD software.
Layers, line weights and line types are reproduced as closely as possible, but fonts and unusual hatch patterns may differ.
3D solids are not handled. This is for 2D drawings.
External references (xrefs) are not loaded — bind them in CAD first.
Common questions
Why no DWG?
The open library that reads it is GPL-3.0, which is incompatible with a closed-source product, and the commercial SDK is a paid licence. Rather than use it quietly, we say so. Saving as DXF takes three seconds.
Do the lines stay sharp?
Yes — the output is vector, so it scales without jagged edges.
Can I set the scale?
You choose paper size and orientation, and the drawing is fitted to it.
