Fill in a PDF form

Complete a PDF that has form fields. When you are done you can lock it — the values are drawn into the page so any reader displays them.

How to do it

  1. Drop in a PDF that has form fields.
  2. Fill in the fields.
  3. Decide whether to lock it, then download.

This one needs an upload, and is deleted afterwards

Browsers cannot do this calculation, so the file goes to our server. It is deleted automatically 60 minutes after the job finishes, and the working copy lives in a memory filesystem that is wiped whenever the server restarts.

We do not log file names and do not log file contents — that is a hard rule in our engineering standards, not a setting.

What it does — and what it doesn't

Common questions

I filled it in but they say it looks empty.
It was not locked. Their reader is not generating field appearances. Fill it again and tick lock.
How do I know if a PDF has form fields?
Drop it in — the fields are listed if there are any, and you are told if there are not.
Does locking make the file bigger?
Barely — a few more text-drawing instructions.
